Yuga Labs Introduces New NFT Collection
Yuga Labs recently announced their newest project, a limited edition collection of 300 generative art pieces entitled “TwelveFold.” The artwork, permanently inscribed to the Bitcoin network and tied to a unique Satoshi, will form a 12X12 grid. It will include both hand-drawn components as well as 3D images. This project is separate from any previous Ethereum-based works by Yuga.
What Is TwelveFold?
TwelveFold is an art system focused on a 12X12 grid that visually maps data onto the Bitcoin network. The pieces within it are limited edition generative artworks inscribed onto the Bitcoin blockchain. Each piece is assigned its own unique Satoshi, which is 1/100,000,000 of a complete Bitcoin (BTC).
The Bored Ape Yacht Club Connection
The creators of Twelvefold are also responsible for Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) and virtual land plots for the upcoming Otherside metaverse game—all currently running on the Ethereum blockchain. However, TwelveFold does not interact with or function in any way with these projects; it’s completely independent from them.
How To Acquire Twelvefold Pieces
The artwork can be acquired through Ordinals—a newly launched platform for committing media and artwork to Bitcoin by permanently tying each piece to its own unique Satoshi. All 300 limited-edition works of generative art will make up the Twelvefold collection which will be placed on a 12X12 grid in the collection.
Conclusion
Twelvefold offers something entirely new when compared to previously released projects by Yuga; this time taking place on the Bitcoin blockchain instead of Ethereum. With its unique combination of hand-drawn components and 3D images, it’s sure to be an interesting work of digital art that can’t be replicated anywhere else!
